• Key differences relating to accounts for LloydsLink customers

    Logging in

    The way you will log in and perform tasks on Commercial Banking Online will be different from LloydsLink

    You will be required to use a security device every time you log in. This will be sent to administrators and users when your registration is completed.

    Account names may look slightly different

    The account names you see on Commercial Banking Online may look different from the ones you have on LloydsLink

    Account names are automatically created on Commercial Banking Online and may be displayed in a different format to what you currently see on LloydsLink.

    Although you account name may look different, sort code and account numbers will not change.

    View balances in GBP, EUR and USD

    In Commercial Banking Online, you will be able to select to see account balances in GBP, EUR and USD.

    Transaction history

    LloydsLink transaction history will not be available on Commercial Banking Online

    Once you start using Commercial Banking Online, you will start to build up a history of your transactions. Historic transactions are instantly accessible for a period of up to two years. 

    You can continue to use your LloydsLink software to view historic transactions and other data previously stored. Any transactions that take place after your registration closes will not be available in LloydsLink but you will still be able to use Commercial Banking Online to view this information. 

    To view your historic transactions:

    1. Log in to LloydsLink and select ‘Cash Manager’.
    2. You’ll be asked if you want to download any new information. As you’ll no longer be able to connect to our banking systems through LloydsLink you should click “No”.
    3. You’ll then be able to create a new report or use the Search Wizard to view your transactions within your statements.

    To view any historic payments:

    1. Log in to LloydsLink and select ‘Payments’. 
    2. Select the payment batch you wish to view.
    3. You may see an icon prompting you to connect to the bank. As you’ll no longer be able to do this you’ll be presented with an error message if you click on this icon.

    If your LloydsLink software is installed on a standalone PC and you would like to move it to your organisation’s network drive, please contact your client manager.  


    Restricted beneficiary accounts

    Restricted beneficiary accounts will not be available on Commercial Banking Online

    LloydsLink has the capability to create restricted beneficiaries that only specified users can access. Commercial Banking Online does not offer this feature.

    Restricted beneficiaries cannot be exported via the LloydsLink migration tool and therefore will not be moved over to Commercial Banking Online.

    The LloydsLink migration tool will provide information on which beneficiaries will be exported.

    Commercial Banking Online does offer restricted payment templates.

    Multiple registrations

    Commercial Banking Online will replace three existing online banking channels. They are LloydsLink online, Corporate Online and LloydsLink

    You may already have a second channel as a back-up to your primary channel. Once you move to Commercial Banking Online, you will not have access to LloydsLink online or Corporate Online.

    Due to Commercial Banking Online’s reliability a separate contingency channel won’t be required.

    If you decide not to move one of your existing online banking channels

    If you decide not to move one of your existing online banking channels, please remember to transfer the details of any users and administrators, payment templates, beneficiaries or accounts to the channel moving to Commercial Banking Online in order to make sure these details are automatically transferred and available to you as soon as you start using Commercial Banking Online.

    When you transfer an account over to the channel you have decided to move to Commercial Banking Online, the transaction history for this account will not be transferred. Please download the transaction history for the account before you move it.


    Need help check if your administrators will retain their permissions once they have moved over to Commercial Banking Online.
