    Updating payment templates

Will my payment templates automatically be moved over to Commercial Banking Online?

    Corporate Online

There are 3 reasons why your existing payment templates, or underlying payments within a template, may not be automatically moved over to Commercial Banking Online:

    1. A blank field is now mandatory on Commercial Banking Online. This field must be populated and saved for the payment template to be automatically moved to Commercial Banking Online.
    2. A populated field now has specific criteria, e.g. sort codes must be 6 characters rather than the current format.
    3. Existing data may fail validation checks, e.g. beneficiary sort codes and account numbers must pass checks that ensure the account details are valid.

In addition, there are some field lengths on Commercial Banking Online which are shorter than on Corporate Online. In these cases existing data will be truncated unless you choose to update these fields.

Payment Templates with Multiple Underlying Payments

    Bacs Single/CHAPS/Faster Payment/Euro/International/Inter A/C Transfer

If you have multiple underlying payments set up within a payment template, these will only be moved to Commercial Banking online if the data meets the set criteria. If you do not update the data, a template will move to Commercial Banking Online, but some of the underlying payments may not have moved. E.g. in the example below the template will move to Commercial Banking Online, but the payment ID 409898 will not migrate unless the debit account details are populated.

    Bacs Multiple

A Bacs Multiple template will not move to Commercial Banking Online if any of the 3 issues above are found, i.e. if any issues are found in any of the underlying payments, the whole template will not move to Commercial Banking Online.

There is a guide for each payment type, which explains the changes you can make to ensure your payment templates are automatically moved over to Commercial Banking Online.

Please ensure future payment templates meet the criteria outlined in the guides below.

    1. Bacs
    2. Basic Euro Moneymover
    3. CHAPS payment
    4. Faster Payment
    5. Inter Account Transfer
    6. International Moneymover
