    Account names

    What happens if I miss the deadline?

    Your existing account short/friendly names will be moved across to Commercial Banking Online and shortened to 39 characters. You are able to change the account name abbreviation on Commercial Banking Online.

    What you need to do

    • Check the 'friendly' or 'short' names for your accounts will still make sense when shortened to 39 characters

    Commercial Banking Online may shorten your friendly or short name and only display the first 39 characters. It might be easier to shorten this label before moving to Commercial Banking Online to avoid any confusion with account names.

    When is the deadline?

    Four weeks before your moving date.

    How to do it

    Corporate Online

    To edit a friendly name, you must be logged in to Corporate Online as an administrator. One of the options on the horizontal menu bar across the top of the screen will be 'Friendly Names'.

    1. Click on 'Friendly Names'
      The Friendly Names screen opens
    2. Check the tick box next to the account you want to enter or amend a friendly name for
    3. Click 'Amend'
      The Amend Friendly Name screen opens
    4. Enter the new friendly name
    5. Click 'Save'
      The Signing screen opens
    6. Check the details and click 'Sign and Submit'
    7. Enter your PIN and click 'OK' to confirm the action.
