I want to create a panel profile

  • If your organisation has panel approval set up for your Commercial Banking Online service, payments must be approved by a panel, or group, of users. Panel profiles are the groups of panels your organisation needs to approve different payment amounts, payment types and payment entry methods.

If you’re a Primary Administrator and responsible for managing panels, you can create a new panel profile. Once you have created a panel profile, you can then add the payment amount threshold and the approver types you want for the panels in the profile. The panel profile then has to be approved before payment types and payment entry methods can be assigned to it, to determine the kind of payments that the panels in the profile can approve.

Before creating your panel profile you should rename and approve your organisation’s approver types.

    1. On your Administration page, select Panels > Panel profile to display the Panel Profile screen.
    2. Click Add.
    3. Enter a short memorable name up to eight characters long, which can be used to easily identify the panel profile.
    4. Enter a short description of the panel profile up to 64 characters long.
    5. Click Save.
    6. A message confirming that the panel profile has been saved is displayed. Click Close to close the message.
    7. Click Add to add the payment amount threshold and the approver types you want for a panel in the profile.
    8. Enter the maximum payment amount that the panel can approve as the threshold amount. This cannot be left blank.
    9. Select whether you want the approval sequence for the panel to be fixed or not.
If you fix the approval sequence, any payments meeting the threshold would need to be approved in the order of the approver types you select to include in the panel. For example, you may want a panel to approve payments in order of their position within your organisation.
If you don’t fix the approval sequence, all users with the approver types assigned to them can approve the payment in which ever order they want. The payment will only be sent to the bank once approved in accordance with the panel.
    10. Select each approver type you want included in the panel. You can select up to six approvers for the panel. For your security, and to help protect against fraud, we recommend at least two approver types. If you’ve selected to fix the approval sequence, make sure you select the approver types in the order in which the payments need to be approved by the panel.
    11. Once you’ve selected all the approvers required, click Save.
    12. A message is displayed, asking you to confirm the changes. Click Yes to save your changes or No to cancel the changes. Any changes you make to your organisation’s panel profiles must be approved.
