Care home expansion backed by funding package

A Warrington care home is taking on new residents after a major refurbishment, funded by Lloyds Bank.

The funding enabled the management team at Arlington House Residential Care Home, in Stockton Heath, to build five new en suite rooms and revamp the home's communal facilities.

That included renovating the dining room, building a new sensory garden, creating a new orangery lounge area and installing a hair salon for residents.

Providing specialist support

The £200,000 project will enhance the lives of the home's 21 residents, many of whom are living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

Arlington House was acquired by its current owners Neeruj and Gita Luthra in 2015 to provide specialist support for residents.

"Gaining funding for a care home can be a complex process, but we’ve found working with the healthcare team at Lloyds Bank extremely beneficial."

"They have an in-depth knowledge of the sector and the challenges that healthcare businesses face, and as a result were able to provide support that was exactly suited to our needs.

"The funding has made a huge difference to our residents and we've revamped the rooms to reflect their taste.

"We've also created a new sensory garden that provides a peaceful place where our residents can relax, and everyone is looking forward to spending time there during the summer months."

Lauren Parsons, healthcare relationship manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: "Renovating the home will have a tangible impact on the community, providing more people across the area with access to high-quality care in a relaxing and comfortable environment.

"Residential homes like Arlington House provide a vital service within their local area and it's essential that they receive the tailored support they needed to support their patients."

The refurbishment included transforming the Arlington House dining room into a 1950s tea room where residents can enjoy events and traditional dances.

Lauren Parsons added: "We have a dedicated team of healthcare relationship managers who can provide the kind of specialist guidance that firms like Arlington House need to prosper."
