    Once again this year’s Sibos conference provided a great opportunity for us to meet with our clients and to make new contacts. We had a good debate about the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in the banking sector.

    2015 has been a milestone year for us at Lloyds Bank, as we marked our 250th anniversary. Visitors to our stand were able to see our history brought to life on an interactive timeline, which demonstrated our ongoing commitment to supporting business, households and the wider community.

    Ed works in Trade Finance Sales Asia. He re-located to Hong Kong in April 2014 to take responsibility for Lloyds Bank Asia Trade Sales and Distribution activities. Ed works with Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Bank-to-Bank finance, Risk Purchase and Distribution. His primary focus is on building strong trade finance relationships with partner banks, enabling our partners to leverage the Group’s market position in the UK.

    Ed is a Trade Finance Sales Professional with ten plus years’ experience across all geographical regions. He joined Lloyds Bank in August 2013 to cover the European FI Portfolio. Ed is experienced in Trade Sales origination, structuring, distribution, middle-office and back office positions.

    Ed is a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist.

    Biography
    Mark is the Chief Operating Officer for Financial Institutions (FI) at Lloyds Bank. As a member of the FI Executive Committee reporting directly to the Managing Director, Mark has a diverse range of accountabilities across the following disciplines; client service, risk (compliance, operational, conduct, AML), change, HR and data.

    Mark has extensive experience within banking and has led a large re-engineering programme for the Group’s Chief Risk Officer. He was COO for the Group’s North American business based in New York and also spent time supporting the Group Finance Director during the financial crisis. Before this, Mark spent fifteen year's as a Relationship Director leading to the role of Area Director, Commercial, in the UK.

    Biography
    Richard joined Lloyds Bank in 2000, having graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Business and Economics. Since then, he has enjoyed a career that has spanned a rich variety of roles from Structured Finance through to Liquidity Management.

    Richard’s current role has dual responsibility; ensuring that the assets and liabilities that form the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) balance sheet are continuously compliant from a liquidity, capital and interest rate risk management viewpoint. He also supports any complex customer proposition structuring discussions arising from the wide span of GTB’s customers (SME to FI).

    As a member of the GTB Executive Committee, in addition to his functional role, Richard also forms part of the management team which leads the growth of Lloyds Bank’s GTB business.

    With 10 years experience in financial services, Claire is charged with harnessing digital innovations and disruptions to best suit Lloyds Banking Group’s 30million customers and 50,000 employees.

    Claire joined Lloyds Bank in 2012 as head of digital delivery and became director of innovation in January 2015.

    Before joining the Bank, she completed a Masters in IT Management at HEC Paris & Mines ParisTech, worked at Capgemini Consulting, and served as a visiting scientist at the MIT Center for Digital Business in Boston. She is a board member and mentor at Startupbootcamp FinTech, and was reported as one of the 40 most influential people in FinTech.

    Kath graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea with a BA Joint Hons in English Literature and American Literature, History and Politics.

    Biography
    Jonathan joined Lloyds Bank in Hong Kong in May 2013, as Relationship Manager in the Asia Pacific Financial Institutions team.

    Prior to joining Lloyds Bank, Jonathan was based in Singapore with HSBC’s Financial Institutions team covering the Insurance & Asset Management sectors, as Senior Relationship Manager. Jonathan has a background in Relationship Management and Debt Capital Markets covering financial institutions in Asia ex-Japan/Korea. He joined The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Asia Pacific (based in Hong Kong) in 2006 following his relocation from RBS USA.

    Jonathan received his Bachelors in Business Administration (Finance & Economics) from the University of Southern Maine, and has a Masters in Finance from Boston College. He is a CFA Charterholder.

    She has a wealth of experience having previously worked for Lloyds Bank, Citibank, ABN AMRO and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Francesca re-joined Lloyds Bank in 2014.

    Francesca is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers and qualified as an Advanced Executive Coach in 2010.

    Mark’s career spans 28 years in Product, Payment and Client facing roles within RBS and Bank of Scotland. He is currently Payments Technical Services Director for Lloyds Bank, with responsibilities spanning Risk, Regulation, Resilience, IT, Operations and a wider industry lens.

    Mark has built core knowledge across the payments landscape and plays a leading role in defining the strategic payments direction for the Group.

    Mark chaired the UK Industry wide programme to deliver a UK wide Customer Switching Service (across 17 Financial Institutions and 37 Banking brands) culminating in the successful launch in September 2013. Mark is currently Chair of the UK wide Future Cheque Programme to digitise cheques in the UK by 2016 and is a Director of the UK Faster Payments Scheme Board.

    Biography
    Pat is responsible for managing the Payments relationship between Lloyds and its Service Provision Clients; TSB Bank and Sainsburys Bank and for managing any external issues impacting the Financial Stability of LBG, on behalf of Global Payments.

    Pat’s team supports both Sales and Network activities for payment services and provides support to the Commercial Bank on a broad range of issues.

    Pat has worked for Lloyds Bank for a number of years and has held responsibilities in a variety of key operational functions through which she has built a deep understanding of Payments. She has extensive operational and people management experience.

    Her financial stability role has required her to play a key role in the management of a number of crisis situations.

    Biography
    Adam heads up the specialist finance and intermediaries (SF&I) team, managing relationships with commercial and consumer finance providers such as the ‘challenger banks’, non-bank financial institutions and intermediaries which includes inter-dealer brokers, stock exchanges and building societies.

    Before joining Lloyds Bank in May 2010, Adam was a Partner at Ernst & Young, where he led the commercial and consumer finance mergers and acquisitions transactions team. During this time he co-ordinated several transactions, including the splitting and sale of Bradford & Bingley. He also served as Transactions Account Leader for General Electric and HBOS.

    Adam’s previous roles also include working as Director at Deloitte and European M&A Leader for GE Capital Solutions and GE Consumer Finance. He started his career at Hambros Bank.

    Biography
    Peter holds the role as Financial Institutions Liquidity Sales Director, where he is responsible for growing the Global Transaction Banking balance sheet across all Lloyds’s Bank FI sectors. This includes Banks, Non-Banks FI’s, Funds, Insurance, Institutional Investors and Specialist Finance Intermediaries.

    He was the driving force behind the inception and rollout of the GTB 30 & 32 Day Notice account product for GTB FI Sales, funded multiple hundreds of millions of 30/32 Day Notice before Half year end and increased the FI balance sheet by multiple billions since year end 2013.

    Before joining Lloyds Bank, Peter was previously with Citibank for 16 years, Bankers Trust Co. and MW Marshalls covering roles in cash management, sales, product, trading and relationship management.

    Biography
    Graeme is responsible for leading all external engagement in the payments industry on behalf of Lloyds Bank with industry bodies, Bank of England and regulators.

    Graeme is an experienced leader with 40 years in banking with RBS, RBS Group, Bank of Scotland, HBOS and Lloyds Bank and has spent the last 22 years in payments. He has extensive subject matter expertise and experience of UK and international payments (electronic and paper), industry strategy, operations, risk, incident management, product management, settlement and liquidity and other technical aspects of the payments business, and this has included leading business units of up to 500 colleagues.

    He was also part of a small team in Lloyds Bank that invented the UK Current Account Switch Service implemented in September 2013 following a £700m cross industry programme.

    Robert has global management responsibility for the Banks Coverage team who are based across the UK, the US and Asia.

    Robert has fourteen years’ experience advising financial institutions on issues related to capital markets financing, balance sheet management and regulatory capital.

    Robert was most recently at UBS, where he served as co-head of the bank’s financial institutions group (FIG) debt capital markets business.

    Robert is a graduate in Law from the University of Edinburgh.

    With more than 15 years’ experience in Trade Finance, Mo heads a team that provides a range of financing and risk mitigation products including bank to bank Trade loans, letters of credit and guarantees, supporting Financial Institutions and Insurance and Funds companies on global basis.

    Mo joined Lloyds Bank in 2014, after spending 8 years with HSBC (Corporate Trade), 2 years with JPMorgan ( Corporate Trade) and 13 years with Citibank (Trade, securities and Cash Management).

    Patrick represents Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking in Asia Pacific across sectors, maintaining the drive to become the core UK bank to clients.

    Previously Patrick established the FI team in Hong Kong in 2009, where he expanded coverage and grew business with our clients in Asia Pacific. He was also responsible for originating strategic partnerships in Asia, maximising opportunities and balance of trade.

    Sean Gilchrist joined Lloyds Bank in January 2014 and in this time has built a Commercial Digital function as part of Group Digital and launched a new Commercial Banking strategic online channel.

    Sean's career spans more than 25 years in the finance industry and he joins Lloyds Bank from Barclays where he most recently held the position of Managing Director of Digital Banking, UK Retail and Business Banking. He played an instrumental role in the transformation of digital banking with a clear vision focused on innovation and growth, acting as one of the drivers behind Pingit and mobile banking. Prior to this, Sean held a number of other roles within Barclays (namely Head of e-Services, Barclays Wealth) and at other financial services companies.

    Joanne leads the Trade Services function, which is the operational arm that supports the Lloyds Global Transaction Banking Trade business.

    Joanne performed a number of operational and middle office roles for Lloyds Bank across Europe and the US before returning to the UK to join the Trade Services function. Throughout her career she has been involved in supporting trade activity and lending.

    Joanne joined Lloyds Bank in 2004 from UKTI. She holds a BSc in Financial Services from Manchester University and a MA in European Languages from the University of Edinburgh.

    Clive has over 30 years banking experience, the vast majority of this has been in global transaction banking and international banking. He has held senior roles across sales, relationship management, risk and product. Prior to joining Lloyds Bank 2 years ago, Clive was Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions EMEA, Global Transaction Banking at RBS.

    He has a MBA in Finance from Cass Business School and a degree in Economics.

    Lilia holds a Masters Degree in Money, Banking and Finance from University of Birmingham and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Rotman, University of Toronto.

    In this role as Global Transaction Compliance Director, Cate also heads up the c.1500 strong team who provide AML, CDD, FATCA and Sanctions Shared Services to Lloyds Banking Group.

    Cate is a qualified banker and MBA graduate with 25 years experience in banking.

    Biography
    Donald was appointed Managing Director, Client Delivery for Global Transaction Banking in December 2013. This role involves leading the team accountable for delivering working capital and leasing solutions to the Commercial Bank customers, including cash management, trade, receivables finance, and asset based lending and leasing.

    Immediately before this Donald was Managing Director of Commercial Finance which provides asset backed lending (factoring, invoice discounting, hire purchase and leasing) to the full suite of business customers. It is the leading provider of ABL in the UK and has 1,200 colleagues providing UK wide coverage.

    In previous roles Donald was responsible for managing the customer facing teams, P&L, delivering business integration and dealing with external regulators, where he represented Corporate as an expert panel member and chair of the GCM Model Committee with the FSA.

    Sofia Larsen is Head of Nordics & France and a Relationship Director in the Northern European Banks team. Prior to joining Lloyds Bank in 2010, Sofia spent 10 years covering the Financial Institutions sector in Northern Europe focusing on investment banking at a number of banks including HSBC and more recently NAB.

    In addition to coverage roles, Sofia also spent some time in M&A at Commerzbank as well as having been responsible for European capital markets data at SNL Financial in London.

    Originally from Sweden, Sofia has an MA (Hons) Degree in Economic Science from University of Aberdeen and has lived in the UK for over 15 years.

    Lin joined the Global Banks team in August 2013. Lin is responsible for developing sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with our top tier North American banking clients.

    Prior to joining the Banks team, Lin worked in CRE BSU (Edinburgh) as a Relationship Manger, responsible for a portfolio of distressed house-builder clients. This involved monitoring trading performance, developing and implementing debt recovery strategies. Having been trained with Ernst&Young as a Chartered Accountant, Lin is experienced in Corporate Finance and Audit, with a particular specialism in hedging instruments and strategies.

    Lin is a member of ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland) and holds an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School.

    In his 8 years at Lloyds Bank, Sailesh has lead a number of major programmes, including the LloydsTSB-HBOS payments integration, Current Account Switchers, PayM, UK Future Clearing Model, Payments Resilience, FATCA, sanctions consolidation, Common Reporting Services and the Transaction Management Hub.

    Prior to joining Lloyds Bank, Sailesh was CTO at Travelex, developing their Enterprise Service Bus and Commercial Internet Channel and Chief of Architecture at JP Morgan Glasgow Technology Centre, having architecture roles in Telecommunications and Oilfield industries.

    Adam joined the Global Transaction Banking team in May 2015 to develop our go-to market approach for institutional and non-bank FI clients. His focus is on building offers that meet the core transaction banking, trade and fixed assets needs of these segments.

    Prior to joining Global Transaction Banking, Adam spent six years working in both the Global Corporate and Financial Institutions coverage teams. Most recently he supported the MD, Financial Institutions as his Executive Assistant

    Adam joined Lloyds Bank in 2007, after completing a BSc in Economics and French, from the University of Birmingham.

    Russell is a member of the Group Operations Executive Committee reporting to the Group Director of Operations, a member the Group’s Executive Committee.

    Russell is responsible for Lloyds Bank’s payments strategy, design, technologies and operations supporting Business Unit strategies. A key component is setting and executing the Group’s payment risk and compliance standards for the bank’s business.

    Russell is Accountable Executive for Lloyds Bank pan-industry and Group programmes delivering improvements for the industry and clients, and to meet raised-bar regulatory compliance requirements.

    Russell has over 25 years experience in banking operating at senior levels across international jurisdictions and all client groups, he specialises in operations, compliance and change management.

    Russell is Chair of the SWIFT National Member Group (SWIFT UK) and a long-standing member of the Payment Council.

    Ritu Sehgal joined Lloyds Bank in December 2010 and manages Lloyd’s relationships with large Asian Banks in the UK. The role involves building Lloyds franchise and driving opportunities across products particularly Transaction Banking and Financial Markets with a challenging portfolio of clients from diverse geographies and some of the fastest growing economies.

    Before joining Lloyds Bank, Ritu has held senior roles in various corporate banking functions including relationship management, credit and portfolio management with RBS/ABN Amro and BNP Paribas over the last 15 years.

    Ritu is an MBA with major in Finance and holds a Honours Bachelors of Commerce degree.

    Within the commercial division, Akhil has focused on FI Transaction Banking Product Management, Corporate Bank Strategy & Business Development.

    Akhil has experience covering Banking and Life & General Insurance having worked for Citibank, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Aviva and for the last 5 years at Lloyds Bank.

    Akhil graduated with BEng (Hons) 1st class, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, University of Warwick and completed a Postgraduate course, ACDMM at the University of Cambridge.

    Prior to this role, Stephen was the Head of Corporate & Specialised Finance, Australia for Lloyds Banking Group for over 3 years until that that business was successfully sold.

    Before joining Lloyds Bank, Stephen spent 20 years with Citigroup in Sydney, London, Frankfurt and Manila, across a broad variety of roles in Corporate Banking, the last one as Head of Corporate Banking for Australia/New Zealand.

    Stephen is Australian and has an MBA from IMD (IMEDE), together with a Masters and Bachelor of Engineering.

    Ed is a highly accomplished senior executive with 17 years’ extensive experience, operating at Board level, in large companies across a range of industry sectors, both in the UK and internationally.

    Ed joined Lloyds Bank in April 2010 as Managing Director Operations. 3,500 FTE grew to 20,000 FTE encompassing Insurance Operations, Retail, Commercial and offshore centres.

    Ed was appointed to his current role as MD, Head of Global Transaction Banking, in October 2013. Global Transaction Banking provides Trade Finance, Cash Management, Invoice and Asset Finance solutions to Commercial Banking clients and helps them to grow both domestically and internationally. Ed is leading the evolution of the Commercial Bank’s working capital proposition across all of its client teams and is building a business that integrates this offering.

    Kevin is responsible for growing transaction banking relationships in the payments and cash management space and ensuring that the needs are met of banks and their subsidiaries in a number of major countries across North America, Europe, Australasia and Africa. He also provides expert guidance to Lloyds bank on all matters relating to our transaction banking relationships with banks globally.

    Prior to his current role, he has enjoyed roles in international operations, systems development, risk management, product management and corporate client sales prior to joining Financial Institutions as a Relationship Director responsible for Lloyds Banks FI relationships in Africa and the Middle East.

    Since then Kevin has played a key role in many of the changes within our Financial Institutions department, initially establishing the first Customer Support function within the department, and subsequently taking responsibility for the then new Global Clients relationship team.

    He currently heads up the coverage of the Brazilian, Iberian, Irish and Israeli Banks, having previously covered banks in Africa, America, Asia and Australia.

    Prior to joining the Global Banks Team in April 2011, Matthew has undertaken a variety of roles including Global Corporate coverage at Lloyds, Property Finance and Treasury roles at Anglo Irish Bank, along with economic advisory at HMRC.

    Matthew is a CFA Charterholder; IMC qualified and holds an Economics degree from Brunel University.

    Paul is responsible for the relationship management of Lloyds Bank’s client coverage of bank relationships in 80 countries. He was also responsible for the recent Portfolio Rightsizing exercise at Lloyds Bank which focussed on significantly reducing the number of counterparties covered by the Financial Institutions team. In his role Paul personally covers banks in the USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, Poland and The Middle East.

    Paul joined Lloyds Bank in 1982 and has worked in Financial Institutions for almost 20 years, including a stint in New York, where he was also the US Representative for the National Bank of New Zealand, then a Lloyds wholly owned subsidiary. Prior to this he also worked in Corporate Banking and Retail/Mid Markets.

    Adrian is a highly experienced banking professional with 27 years spanning retail, corporate and investment banking across a number of British and overseas banks. Prior to leading the Commercial Bank’s largest product business he was MD, Business Development & Transformation and a member of CBMG. He previously worked directly for Antonio Horta-Osorio for two years as his Chief of Staff, supporting key transformational change across the Group. Adrian joined Lloyds Bank as a senior leader of the Leveraged Finance team, with 10+ years leading notable M&A transactions with some of the most demanding PE Sponsors in Europe.

    Biography
    Christopher is the Head of Coverage and DCM for the Australian and South African banks whilst also encompassing the DCM responsibility for the Canadian and US and banks.

    Christopher joined Lloyds in August 2008 and was one of the first brought in to service Lloyds Bank as an issuer and build out the FI DCM business. He joined the bank from Citi, where he covered UK and Irish banks for four years in FI DCM and prior to that worked in Mergers and Acquisitions at Serco.

    Christopher has significant experience in the structuring and execution of regulatory capital and funding for banks across jurisdictions. He is also helping to build the Lloyds Bank DCM franchise through his coverage of Australian, UK, US, Canadian and South African banks.

      Mark is the Chief Operating Officer for Financial Institutions (FI) at Lloyds Bank.       Mark has extensive experience within banking and has led a large re-engineering programme for the Group’s Chief Risk Officer. He was COO for the Group’s North American business based in New York and also spent time supporting the Group Finance Director during the financial crisis. Before this, Mark spent fifteen year's as a Relationship Director leading to the role of Area Director, Commercial, in the UK.

      Richard joined Lloyds Bank in 2000, having graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Business and Economics. Since then, he has enjoyed a career that has spanned a rich variety of roles from Structured Finance through to Liquidity Management.

      Richard’s current role has dual responsibility; ensuring that the assets and liabilities that form the Global Transaction Banking (GTB) balance sheet are continuously compliant from a liquidity, capital and interest rate risk management viewpoint. He also supports any complex customer proposition structuring discussions arising from the wide span of GTB’s customers (SME to FI).

      As a member of the GTB Executive Committee, in addition to his functional role, Richard also forms part of the management team which leads the growth of Lloyds Bank’s GTB business.

      Claire joined Lloyds Bank in 2012 as head of digital delivery and became director of innovation in January 2015.

      Before joining the Bank, she completed a Masters in IT Management at HEC Paris & Mines ParisTech, worked at Capgemini Consulting, and served as a visiting scientist at the MIT Center for Digital Business in Boston. She is a board member and mentor at Startupbootcamp FinTech, and was reported as one of the 40 most influential people in FinTech.

He joined The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Asia Pacific (based in Hong Kong) in 2006 following his relocation from RBS USA.

      Mark has built core knowledge across the payments landscape and plays a leading role in defining the strategic payments direction for the Group.

      Mark chaired the UK Industry wide programme to deliver a UK wide Customer Switching Service (across 17 Financial Institutions and 37 Banking brands) culminating in the successful launch in September 2013. Mark is currently Chair of the UK wide Future Cheque Programme to digitise cheques in the UK by 2016 and is a Director of the UK Faster Payments Scheme Board.

      Pat’s team supports both Sales and Network activities for payment services and provides support to the Commercial Bank on a broad range of issues.

      Pat has worked for Lloyds Bank for a number of years and has held responsibilities in a variety of key operational functions through which she has built a deep understanding of Payments. She has extensive operational and people management experience.

      Her financial stability role has required her to play a key role in the management of a number of crisis situations.

      Before joining Lloyds Bank in May 2010, Adam was a Partner at Ernst & Young, where he led the commercial and consumer finance mergers and acquisitions transactions team. During this time he co-ordinated several transactions, including the splitting and sale of Bradford & Bingley. He also served as Transactions Account Leader for General Electric and HBOS.

      Adam’s previous roles also include working as Director at Deloitte and European M&A Leader for GE Capital Solutions and GE Consumer Finance. He started his career at Hambros Bank.

      Peter holds the role as Financial Institutions Liquidity Sales Director, where he is responsible for growing the Global Transaction Banking balance sheet across all Lloyds’s Bank FI sectors. This includes Banks, Non-Banks FI’s, Funds, Insurance, Institutional Investors and Specialist Finance Intermediaries.

      He was the driving force behind the inception and rollout of the GTB 30 & 32 Day Notice account product for GTB FI Sales, funded multiple hundreds of millions of 30/32 Day Notice before Half year end and increased the FI balance sheet by multiple billions since year end 2013.

      Before joining Lloyds Bank, Peter was previously with Citibank for 16 years, Bankers Trust Co. and MW Marshalls covering roles in cash management, sales, product, trading and relationship management.

      Graeme is an experienced leader with 40 years in banking with RBS, RBS Group, Bank of Scotland, HBOS and Lloyds Bank and has spent the last 22 years in payments. He has extensive subject matter expertise and experience of UK and international payments (electronic and paper), industry strategy, operations, risk, incident management, product management, settlement and liquidity and other technical aspects of the payments business, and this has included leading business units of up to 500 colleagues.

      He was also part of a small team in Lloyds Bank that invented the UK Current Account Switch Service implemented in September 2013 following a £700m cross industry programme.

      Immediately before this Donald was Managing Director of Commercial Finance which provides asset backed lending (factoring, invoice discounting, hire purchase and leasing) to the full suite of business customers. It is the leading provider of ABL in the UK and has 1,200 colleagues providing UK wide coverage.

      In previous roles Donald was responsible for managing the customer facing teams, P&L, delivering business integration and dealing with external regulators, where he represented Corporate as an expert panel member and chair of the GCM Model Committee with the FSA.

      Tom is currently a Relationship Director within the Global Banks, Financial Institutions team where he has responsibility for managing the North American Banks portfolio by building longstanding and mutually beneficial relationships.

      Tom joined Lloyds Bank’s graduate management scheme 14 years ago, specialising in Marketing.

      Prior to joining FI in 2007, Tom specialised in marketing and product roles in Retail, Corporate and FI, managing and growing the profitability of a number of product lines.

      Tom is a graduate of Reading University and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
