    Using an example file

    Step by step guide

We recommend you download an example file(s) to check that changes you have made to your current import files are compatible with Commercial Banking Online. You can continue to import payments using the file type(s) you use at the moment.

    1. We have provided a zip file containing an example Commercial Banking Online payment import file for each payment type, and a multiple payment types file which contains a combination of different payment types.
    2. Select the example file for the payment type you normally import. Right click it and select ‘Save’.
    3. You will then need to unzip the file.
    4. You can use the example file as a template and amend it with your payment import information to create a new payment import file that is compatible with Commercial Banking Online.
    5. Alternatively, you can compare the example file against your existing file to see what changes are needed.
    6. You may need to download several files if you import more than one payment type.
    7. If you have problems downloading or unzipping the file please contact the Commercial Banking Online helpdesk on on 0808 202 1390 or 01264 839 415. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6.00pm.
