Getting to know Commercial Banking Online

  • Dual access

    Before your move to Commercial Banking Online completes, you will have access to both Commercial Banking Online and your existing online banking service for a period of 3 weeks. This period is called dual access. Please make sure you use this time to familiarise yourself with Commercial Banking Online while continuing to carry out your day-to-day banking as normal on Corporate Online or LloydsLink Online.

    After this period of dual access, you will permanently move to Commercial Banking Online and your access to Corporate Online or LloydsLink Online will be removed.

  • You will be able to explore a variety of reports to find the ones that best meet your business requirements in Commercial Banking Online. Please use this time to test the report export formats as well as the exports available in the download data export section.

Create payments and test the payment process

  • You can create a test payment. If you try to approve a payment you will receive an error message. You won’t be able to do this until you’ve completely moved to Commercial Banking Online. All future-dated test payments must have a deleted status before your move to Commercial Banking Online completes.

    These tasks need to be done before your dual access period finishes and you no longer have access to Corporate Online or LloydsLink Online.

    Make sure you have successfully logged in to Commercial Banking Online and activated your profile before your move is completed. We will email you an activation code for your first log in.

    Making payments

    You need to continue to make payments using your existing online banking service until the day your move completes.

    You should test the process of creating a payment. If you try to approve a payment you will receive an error message. You won’t be able to do this until you’ve completely moved to Commercial Banking Online.

    Future-dated payments

    Corporate Online and LloydsLink Online

    Delete any future-dated payments scheduled to be paid after 6pm on the Friday before your move to Commercial Banking Online. If they are not deleted you will lose the ability to view, amend, or cancel them.

    Commercial Banking Online

    Any future-dated payments deleted on your existing online banking service can be created in Commercial Banking Online when you have completed your move.

    To ensure they don’t get processed for payment when your move completes, check all future-dated test payments have a deleted status.

    Reconciliation activities

    You should continue to perform reconciliation activities on your existing online banking service until you complete your move.

    Check Commercial Banking Online’s reconciliation file formats to understand the changes that may impact your reconciliation activities.

    System/Service Administrators, there are no tasks to complete in your existing online banking service.

    If you are a Primary Administrator please ensure you have checked your user permissions and approval panels on Commercial Banking Online.

    Download any information you need from LloydsLink Online, such as audit logs, payment advices and payment batches.

    Download any information you need from Corporate Online, such as audit logs and payment batches.

    System/Service Administrators, if you make changes to users’ information and permissions while you have dual access, you must also make these changes on Commercial Banking Online.

    If you create, amend or delete payment beneficiaries or templates, while you have dual access, you must also make these changes on Commercial Banking Online.

    Primary Administrators, changes you make to users’ information and permissions during dual access must be replicated on Commercial Banking Online.

    All users, any changes made to payment beneficiaries or templates during dual access must also be replicated on Commercial Banking Online.

    Bank accounts

    If you add, edit or remove accounts while you have dual access, you must also make these changes on Commercial Banking Online.
