    Contact details

    What happens if I miss the deadline?

    If your contact details are not correct, you may not receive further information on how to access Commercial Banking Online. This may mean you are not able to log on to Commercial Banking Online once you have moved.

    What you need to do

    • Ensure your title, first and last names are valid and correct
    • Check your phone number
    • Make sure your postal address is right
    • Ensure your email address is correct and specific to you

    Contact details for all users and administrators should always be up to date so we can contact you quickly, in accordance with the terms and conditions of your online banking service.

    Exclamation mark

    Your contact details must be individual to you as they will be used for security purposes.

    Titles

    Add in your title or check your existing title. It must be one of the options below:

    • Ms, Mr, Miss, Mrs, Sir
    • Dr, Reverend, Father, Professor, Major, Brigadier
    • Lady, Lord or Dame.

    First and last names

    Check there are no generic names used for multiple users e.g. Accounts Department. Make sure first and last names are in the correct field and are shorter than 20 characters.

    Postal address

    Check your postal address is correct. It should be a valid business address and include the complete post code. This is important for both users and administrators. All Commercial Banking Online information sent out by post will be sent to this address.

    Telephone number

    Check your phone number is correct and fewer than 20 characters. This is important for both users and administrators.

    Email address

    Having your correct email address is vital, as any emails from Commercial Banking Online will be sent to this email address. Please make sure the email address we have for you is individual to you, regularly used for work, and is not a group email address where several people use the same address. Your email address must include the ‘@’ symbol and be an active address which is checked frequently.

    The email address and associated names may have an effect on whether or not that profile is moved to Commercial Banking Online. Please read more about duplicate profiles and how they will be treated in Commercial Banking Online.

    When is the deadline?

    Four weeks before your moving date.

    How to do it

    Corporate Online

    Users cannot update their own details on Corporate Online. Administrators must ensure the details of all users are accurate and email addresses are checked regularly.

    An administrator can amend smartcard and token user details in Corporate Online. The step by step guide is shown below.

    You can send a secure message from Corporate Online to update:

    • administrator’s postal address, email address and telephone number
    • user’s postal address, email address and telephone number.

    1. Select ‘Users’ from the main menu
    2. Select ‘Service users’ from the sub menu
    3. Select the ‘User Group Name
    4. Click ‘Select

    You will see the screen below:

    1. Click either ‘Token Users’ or ‘Smartcard Users
    2. Select the user to amend and click the ‘Amend’ button

    1. Make any changes to your title, forename, surname and email address bearing in mind the guidance below: 
      • title your title is one of the following: Ms, Mr, Miss, Mrs, Sir, Dr, Reverend, Father, Professor, Major, Brigadier, Lady, Lord or Dame. Please do not leave this field blank
      • first and last name your first name and last name represent you (i.e. not ‘Accounts department') and each name has a maximum of 20 characters
      • email address please make sure the email address we have for you is individual to you, regularly used for work and is not a group email address where several people use the same address. Your email address must include the ‘@’ symbol and be an active address which is checked frequently
      • postal address this must be a valid business address for user and administrator. It should include the address, town/city and postcode on different lines.
    2. Click the 'Save' button

    Token users

    1. Amendments can be made to your forename, surname and email address
    2. Click the ‘Save’ button

    1. Authorisation will be required.

    Sending a secure message to update administrators' or users' postal address, email address and telephone number

    1. Select ‘Messages’ from the main menu
    2. Select ‘Inbox’ from the sub menu
    3. Click the ‘Compose’ button
    4. Enter 'Address Change - Admin' in the 'Subject' field
    5. Enter your updated contact details in the 'Message' field
    6. Once you are happy these details are correct, click 'Send'.
