I want to activate a user

  • If you’re an Administrator, you can manage users to create, activate, reactivate, suspend or delete them in the Users section of your Administration page.

You can also manage a user’s security settings and Security device settings.

If you can’t see the specific user on which you want to take action, you can perform a search to find their details.

    Activate a user

Administrators can activate users with an Awaiting activation status. You must speak to the user before activating them to confirm they created their own password and Telephony PIN.

Only a Primary Administrator can activate an Administrator. If a Primary Administrator needs to be activated, they should call the Commercial Banking Online Helpdesk.

Review the details of the user before deciding whether to activate them by double clicking on the user’s row to display their details.

    1. Click Actions in the user’s row and select Activate username.
    2. A message is displayed, asking you if you’re sure you want to activate the selected user. Tick the box to confirm you’ve spoken to the user and checked they have created their own password and Telephony PIN.
    3. Click Activate username. Alternatively, if you decide not to proceed with the activation, click Cancel to return to the user list.
    4. A message is displayed, confirming the user is activated. Click Small x (close) to return to the user list.
    5. The user’s status will change to Active.

    Suspend a user

Administrators can suspend users with an Active or Deleted status.

Only a Primary Administrator can suspend an Administrator. If a Primary Administrator needs to be suspended, please contact your  Client Management representative. Commercial Banking Online Helpdesk can also suspend a Primary Administrator.

Review the details of the user before deciding whether to suspend them by double clicking on the user’s row to display their details.

    1. Click Change in the user’s row and select Suspend.
    2. A message is displayed, asking whether you want to continue. Tick the box if you want to notify the user that they have been suspended by email. Ensure the box is unticked if you don’t want to make the user aware of their suspension at this time.
    3. Click Suspend user. Alternatively, if you decide not to proceed with the suspension, click Small x (close) to return to the user list.
    4. A message is displayed, confirming the user will be suspended. To take action on another user, click return to your search results.

    Reactivate a user

Users with administrative roles can reactivate users with a Suspended status.

    4. A message is displayed, confirming the user will be reactivated. To take action on another user, click return to your search results.

If your organisation has single administration, the user will be reactivated immediately. If your organisation has dual administration, a workflow item will be created for the reactivation and another Administrator will need to review and approve the details before the user is reactivated. For your security, we recommend dual administration.

The user’s status will change to Active.
