What pre-defined roles are provided by the Bank

  • To get you up and running quickly, Commercial Banking Online comes with a set of pre-defined Roles.


    AUDIT

    The pre-defined Audit Role is for users who need to run and view audit reports.
    Users with this Role can run the following reports:

    • Admin audit reports:

    • Beneficiary Library Audit Report.

    • Panel Audit Reports (only for clients that use panels payment approval)
        - Panel Profile Audit Report.
        - Panel Approve Types Audit Report
        - Panel Profile Assignment Audit Report

    • Security Audit Trail Reports.

    • Payment audit reports:

    • Bacs/FPS Payment Audit

    • Bacs/FPS Template Audit

    • Payment Audit Excl Bacs/FPS

    You do not need to update this role in order to use it.

    STATEMNT or VIEWONLY

    The STATEMNT or VIEWONLY Role is for users who want to view balances and transactions..
    Users with this Role can:

    • Run the following Information reporting reports:
        - Current day (Cash Position, Running Balance)
        - Transaction (Transaction, Daily View, Transaction Detail)
        - Historic (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Full Balance Export, Full Transaction Export, Bacs Export)
        - Archive (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Historic Transaction Detail, Transaction (x3))

    • Export data in the following formats:
        - BAI
        - Quickbook
        - Quicken
        - Swift MT940

    • Set-up Balance Alerts:
        - Closing cleared
        - Closing ledger


    Updating the role

    In order to use this role you will need to add the relevant bank accounts to enable the users to view their balances and transactions.

    CREATOR

    The CREATOR role is for users who need to perform payment-related tasks, for example, creating or modifying payments.

    Users with this role can take the following actions:

    • View payments

    • Create, modify, delete and repair payments for:
        - All available payment types, including international payments.
        - All payment methods (freeform, template and payment import)

    • File import: Create payments via file import and View and Delete payments created via File Import

    • Beneficiary library: View, Add, Modify and Delete records in the Beneficiary Library

    • Alerts:
        - Payment alerts (Awaiting approval, Approver rejected, Rejected today, Processed)
        - Balance alerts (Closing cleared, Closing ledger)
        - Beneficiary library maintenance alerts

    • Create and view reports:
    Payment reports
        - Import Summary
        - Beneficiary Library Import Summary
        - Consolidated Payment Summary
        - Consolidate Template Summary
        - Archive Consolidated Payment Summary

    Information reporting reports
        - Current day (Cash Position, Running Balance)
        - Transaction (Transaction, Daily View, Transaction Detail)
        - Historic (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Full Balance Export, Full Transaction Export, Bacs Export)
        - Archive (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Historic Transaction Detail, Transaction (x3))

    APPROVER

    The APPROVER Role is for users who want to approve payments and beneficiary library records only.

    Users with this role can take the following actions:

    • Payments (for all payment types and all input methods (freeform, template and payment import)
        - View payments
        - Apply a rate to a payment
        - Approve and Unapprove payments

    • Beneficiary library: Approve records in the Beneficiary Library

    • File Import: View, Approve, Unapprove payments created via File Import

    • View Import Maps

    • Create and view reports:
    Payment reports
        - Import Summary
        - Beneficiary Library Import Summary
        - Consolidated Payment Summary
        - Consolidate template summary
    - Archive Consolidated Payment summary

    Information reporting reports
        - Current day (Cash Position, Running Balance)
        - Transaction (Transaction, Daily View, Detailed)
        - Historic (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Full Balance Export, Full Transaction Export, Bacs Export)
        - Archive (Account Statement, Daily Balance History, Historic Transaction Detail, Transaction (x3))

    • Export data in the following formats:
        - BAI
        - Quickbook
        - Quicken
        - Swift MT940

    • Set-up Alerts:
        - Payment alerts (Awaiting approval, Approver rejected, Rejected today, Processed)

    Updating this role

    In order to use this role you will need to add the relevant accounts that users with this role can approve payments for and view balances and transactions for.

    Votes users will need to assign the relevant number of votes to a user (maximum of 6 for single approver users and 5 for dual approver users).

    If this Role can only approve up to a certain amount then limits will need to be set, this can either be done at the “Global Payment Settings” level where one limit will apply to all payment types, or at the individual payment type level, where you can choose different approval limits based on the payment type.

    The ALLPYMNTS Role is for users who want to create and approve payments.

    Users with this role can take the following actions:

    • Payments (for all payment types and all input methods (freeform, template and payment import)
        - View payments
        - Create, Modify, Delete, Repair and apply Get Rate
        - Approve and Unapprove payments

    • Beneficiary library: View, Add, Modify and Delete records in the Beneficiary Library

    • File Import: View, Create, Delete, Approve and Unapprove payments created via File Import

    • Import Maps: View, Create, Modify and Delete

    • Create and view reports:
    Payment reports
        - Import Summary
        - Beneficiary Library Import Summary
        - Consolidated Payment Summary
        - Consolidate template summary
        - Archive Consolidated Payment summary

    Information reporting reports
        - Current day (Cash Position, Running Balance)
        - Transaction (Transaction, Daily View, Detailed)

    ADMIN

    The ADMIN Role is automatically assigned to users with the Primary or Secondary Administrator Roles.

    You can view the entitlements of this Role in the Role Management screen but you cannot edit the Role or assign it.
