I want to create a Role

  • To create a Role you must either be a Primary Administrator or Administrator on a site with administrative groups.

    To create roles:

    1. Go to the Administration section
    2. Select Manage roles from the Menu.
    3. Click Create Role at the bottom of the Role Maintenance screen.







       
    4. If your site has administrative groups ensure your Client ID is selected.
    5. Enter a Role name between 4 and 8 characters long.
    6. Enter a Role description up to 32 characters long.
    7. Click Save and continue to proceed to the Role Maintenance detail screen.



    8. The tabs across the top of the screen group the available Entitlements into categories. Go to the appropriate tab to grant the Role Entitlements in that category. You can grant all available Entitlements to a category by ticking the All box. Find out more about Role Entitlements and Data Permissions.
    9. Payments: This tab determines the entitlements around payment creation, management and payment reporting:including what accounts payments can be made from as well as what payment types the Role user has the authority to create and/or approve. Restrictions can also be applied to ensure only Beneficiaries saved in the Beneficiary Library can be used.
    10. Information Reporting: this tab provides all the entitlements around accounts and balances management and reporting; including what accounts the Role user can view the statements, balances and reports for.
    11. Admin: this tab provides all the entitlements around Administration functions in Commercial Banking Online including access to the Beneficiary Library.
    12. Utilities:  this tab provides all the entitlements around the detailed import mapper
    13. Tick the boxes to grant the specific Entitlements that you require a Role to have. After you have granted all the data and functional Entitlements to a Role, click Save. A message confirming that the Role has been submitted or approved is displayed.
    14. When the confirmation screen appears, click Close.
    15. The Role needs to be approved before it can be assigned to a User.
